Argus Home · Gated communities

Every arrival, in your care.

Argus opens the gate by reading the plate of every authorized vehicle: a resident's and, if your community turns it on, that of a visitor, vendor or staff member with a pass. Nobody stops or waits for a call, and the line keeps moving. People on foot use a QR or a code. Everything is logged, and it keeps working when the internet goes down.

Three ways in

The right credential for every arrival.

By car, the plate is the credential, whether it's the resident's own or, if your community turns it on, the one on a pass for a visitor, a vendor or household staff. The QR pass and the 8-digit code are for people on foot, for cars without a plate on the pass, or as a backup. The guard house checks and logs every entry.

EFA-123

Plates, for every vehicle

The lane cameras read the plate and the gate opens without the car stopping. That works for residents' cars and, if your community turns it on, for any car whose visitor, vendor or staff pass carries its plate. No cards or remotes.

A resident's vehicle has to be approved first. A visitor's opens the gate only while the pass is valid.

QR pass, on foot or as a backup

The resident creates the pass on their phone and sends it to their visitor on WhatsApp. On foot, or in a car without a plate on the pass, the fixed lane reader scans the QR.

Single use, multiple uses or indefinite, with a schedule if needed.

8-digit code

Every pass also carries a code the visitor types on the lane keypad, in case the QR isn't at hand.

Codes lock after repeated wrong attempts.

Features

Everything Argus does at your entrance.

Everything here aims to make getting in easy for everyone, from the people who live there to the guard at the gate. Each feature replaces something that's done today with lines, calls or paper.

Shorter lines at the gate

The goal is that nobody has to stop. Plates open the gate, visitors arrive with a pass and the guard house stops calling homes, so the lane keeps moving even at rush hour.

  • Residents and visitors with a plate: no stopping
  • Visitors with a pass: no calls to the home
  • Household staff with an indefinite pass: nothing to renew
  • The guard house handles only what really needs it

Drive straight in

  • Plates for every vehicle

The gate opens when it reads the plate of a resident's registered vehicle and, if your community turns it on, of a visitor, vendor or staff member whose pass carries it.

  • Two cameras per lane

One reads the front plate and one the rear, so a read doesn't hinge on a single plate or on the light.

  • Every entrance as it is

Several entrances, vehicle and pedestrian lanes, in and out, each with its own methods.

Visitors, vendors and staff

  • QR pass and 8-digit code

For people on foot or cars without a plate on the pass. The reader scans the QR, or the visitor types the code.

  • Single use, multiple uses or indefinite

For a visit, a week-long job or household staff, with days and hours if needed.

  • Approval over WhatsApp

If someone arrives without a pass, the household approves or declines on WhatsApp. The first answer counts.

  • Emergency passes (coming soon)

For an ambulance or a locksmith. The guard house accepts them instantly, even offline.

The guard house

  • Guard-house app

On the tablet or the guard's own phone, with every lane live and who's expected. Opening takes a tap and a reason.

  • Permissions per guard house

Each guard house has its own permissions, which Argus sets up with the board: open, issue passes or approve visitors.

  • Remote opening with a reason

Management opens a lane from the dashboard, and every opening is logged with its reason.

  • Pause automatic opening

One click per lane, and the guard decides each entry until you turn it back on.

Security and continuity

  • Works offline

The guard house decides from its local copy for as long as the board allows, up to 7 days.

  • Alongside what you already have

Today's tags, remotes and buttons keep working. If Argus switches off, the gate works like it always has.

  • Passes that can't be forged

Every pass carries a digital signature the guard house checks, even offline.

  • Battery backup

The guard-house computer, cameras and network sit behind a UPS.

Management

  • A log with evidence

Every entry, denial and opening, with its read and its pass. Filter by date, lane, home or result.

  • CSV export

The log and the rosters, ready to review in Excel or take to the assembly.

  • Bulk upload from Excel or Google Sheets

Import homes and vehicles and preview every row first. It never sends invitations on its own.

  • Two-step verification

For all site staff who sign in to the dashboard.

Privacy and accounts

  • Consent per household

A plate opens the gate on its own only if its household agreed, and Argus records who agreed, when and how.

  • Everyone sees their own

Residents see their own home, and management sees its community.

  • Spanish and English

Everyone uses Argus in their language: dashboard, portal, passes and messages.

  • One account for all your places

Your community, your club and your office, in the same app.

Passes

A pass for every case.

Create a pass from your phone in a minute and send it over WhatsApp. Whoever gets it installs nothing and comes in with their plate, the QR or their code. There are passes for visitors and for the staff who work in your home.

Single use

A visit or a delivery

It's good for one entry. Once it's used it stops working, so there's no stray pass floating around.

  • A friend coming over for dinner
  • A package or a food delivery

Multiple uses

A few days or a job

You choose how many entries and between which dates. If the work runs long, extend it by a day or a week from your phone.

  • The plumber who's there all week
  • Family staying for a few days
  • On a schedule, if you need it

You can give the pass days and hours, say Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8 am to 3 pm. Outside those hours it doesn't open.

  • Their plate opens the gate

Add the car's plate to the pass and the gate opens when it reads it, if your community has that turned on. If not, they come in with the QR or by typing their code.

  • Sent over WhatsApp

The pass is a link you forward on WhatsApp. Neither you nor your visitor downloads another app.

  • Changes when your plans do

Edit, cancel or extend a pass whenever you like. Management can create any pass and sets the limits on days and entries for residents' passes.

For everyone

Easier for everyone, starting with the people who live there.

Your visitors get in with their plate or a QR, without a line. Staff and vendors arrive with a pass that already has their hours on it, and guards make fewer calls. Pick who you are and see what changes for you.

Residents

Drive home without stopping. Handle visitors from WhatsApp.

Your plate is your credential. You create your visitors' passes from your phone and send them over WhatsApp, with no extra app to download. No smartphone? Your plate opens the gate anyway.

  • Drive straight in

The gate opens when it reads your plate, in any entry lane. No tag or remote needed.

  • Your family and your vehicles

Add the members of your household and register your vehicles. Management approves each one.

  • Visitors without phone calls

Create a pass from your phone and send it over WhatsApp. If it carries their plate and your community has that turned on, the gate opens on its own.

  • Household staff, nothing to renew

An indefinite pass for whoever works in your home, with their days and hours. It's valid until you cancel it.

  • Approve from WhatsApp

If someone arrives without a pass, you decide with a tap. The household's first answer counts.

  • Know who came to your home

See who arrived at your home, when and with which pass, and get a WhatsApp notice.

  • Ready for an emergency

Coming soon: emergency passes the guard house accepts instantly, even offline.

  • On foot too

People who walk in use the QR or the 8-digit code at the pedestrian gate.

HOA board and management

The community's access, visible and with evidence.

A web dashboard brings together homes, residents, vehicles, passes and the access log, with permissions for each member of the site staff.

  • The whole community in an afternoon

Import homes and vehicles from Excel or Google Sheets, review the preview and confirm.

  • Every entry, with evidence

Live monitoring of entries, denials and openings, with each one's read and pass.

  • An incident, sorted out in minutes

Filter by date, lane, home or result and export to CSV whatever you need to review.

  • Every lane under control

Open remotely or pause a lane's automatic opening, always with a reason.

  • Your team, with its permissions

Invite site staff as Admin, Guard or Read-only. They sign in with two-step verification.

  • Consent and privacy

Record each household's consent. Without it, their plate doesn't open the gate on its own.

  • Numbers for the assembly

A summary of entries, denials and openings for any period, ready to export.

  • Your community's rules

You set the limits on days and entries for passes, whether visitors' plates open the gate and how long access runs without internet.

Before and after

The usual problems, solved.

Things handled today with calls and paper get automated and logged.

A line at the gate at rush hour

Cars that drive straight in

Plates open the gate for registered vehicles and, if your community turns it on, for visitors whose pass carries one, so nobody stops and the line keeps moving.

Calls to the house that nobody answers

Approvals over WhatsApp

Every adult in the household gets the notice on their phone, and the answer reaches the guard house.

A logbook nobody reads

A log you can search

Every entry, denial and manual opening is recorded with time, lane and who was responsible.

Borrowed remotes and cards

Credentials you control

Passes have dates and a number of entries, or stay valid until the resident cancels them from their phone.

Built for a real guard house

It keeps working when the internet doesn't.

Decisions are made by a computer inside the guard house, not in the cloud. If the connection drops, residents and passes already issued keep getting in.

Up to 7 days offline

Registered plates and synced passes keep working. The board sets the limit, and after it the guard house switches to manual opening.

Battery backup

The guard-house computer, cameras and network sit behind a UPS to ride through short power cuts.

Never holds the gate open

Argus connects in parallel to the gate's open input, never bypasses safety sensors and never repeats an open command.

Security & privacy

What we install

All the guard-house equipment, included.

Argus is installed on top of your current entrance. The gate, its operator and your guards stay the same.

Plate cameras

Dedicated cameras per lane, tuned for reading plates by day and by night.

Guard-house computer

It decides on site, keeps what it needs to run without internet and sits on a UPS.

Gate connection

A relay wired in parallel to the operator's open input, without touching its safety sensors.

Guard tablet

The guard-house app, with each lane, the decisions and the notices to houses.

QR reader

A fixed scanner in the visitor lane to read passes from the car.

Installation and support

We install, configure and look after the equipment, remotely and on site.

How we start

Plates first. Everything else once they work.

Plate reading adds to what's already there without taking space in the lanes. Each stage moves on only when the previous one delivers, and the board decides with data from its own entrance.

  1. 01

    Installation and testing

We install the cameras and the guard-house computer. For a few days Argus only observes, reading and logging plates without opening, while we test each lane with the gate company.

  2. 02

    Key vehicles

For about two weeks, plates open the gate on both lanes for just a few vehicles: community staff and the people running the pilot.

  3. 03

    Groups of homes

Each home gives its plates to the board, with its consent, and we register them in groups. Nobody installs anything or creates an account. One day you pull up and the gate just opens.

  4. 04

    Accounts, QR and keypads

Once plates work, each home manages its household and visitors. QR passes and keypads come last, and replace what's there today only with the board's agreement.

Pricing

Installation, a monthly fee per home and a site minimum.

No fees per resident or per guard. We put each proposal together after visiting the entrance, and the first communities join through the pilot program.

Before you decide

What HOA boards ask.

The questions we hear most often.

See all questions
How much does Argus cost?

There's an installation fee, a monthly fee per home and a site minimum. The amounts depend on the homes, lanes and equipment, so we give them in a proposal after visiting the entrance.

Does it add work for the guards?

Less. Registered residents drive straight in and visitors with passes come in through the reader or, if your community turns it on, by plate. Guards handle only the visitors without a pass, with a tap on the tablet instead of a call to the house.

What about residents without a smartphone?

Their plate works the same, no phone needed. Management can create any pass that's needed, and other household members can create passes and get the notices. Guards can still open manually, with a reason.

What happens if the internet goes down?

The guard house keeps deciding with what it already has. Registered plates and synced passes work for up to 7 days offline, and the board can adjust that limit. Only new passes have to wait for the connection, and until it's back the guard opens manually with a reason.

What happens if Argus stops operating?

Your entrance goes back to working as it does today, since Argus connects in parallel to the gate without replacing its controls. The community can export its log whenever it wants.

What happens to the plates that are read?

Registered plates, both residents' and the ones on visitors' passes, are used to open the gate for them. Reads and images of non-resident vehicles are kept only as long as the privacy notice states. They are never sold or shared.

Your next step

Let's look at your entrance together.

We visit your guard house, review the lanes and the gate, and bring the board a proposal with the installation plan.
